Forbes' One Complaint About Paylocity Recruiting Is the Whole Problem in Facilities Hiring.
Published on August 13th, 2026
Forbes Advisor's review is otherwise positive on Paylocity's recruiting suite, with one specific exception: candidate matching. In building services, that single exception covers most of the hiring problem.
- A single missed hire at a high-visibility site is a service failure, not a quiet delay. Alliance Building Services manages more than 60 million square feet of commercial real estate, transit hubs and venues, where Forbes's "low-volume, infrequent hiring" description does not apply at any single site, let alone a portfolio.
- BLS projects roughly 351,300 annual openings for janitors and building cleaners through 2034, explicitly replacement-driven, which is continuous demand of the kind Forbes's review flags as outside Paylocity's matching strength.
- Deskless workforces do not surface well in inbound-only pipelines. Roughly 80 million US workers are deskless or frontline, rarely applying through a standard career page at all.

FAQ
Is Paylocity a poor fit for building services hiring?
Not overall. Forbes rates its onboarding and ATS well. The gap is candidate matching at the volume and continuity this vertical requires, which EasySource is closing and has proven for other clients as well.
