Hello Niki, thank you so much for doing this. So I just wanted to begin by understanding more about your current role and expertise in team building.

Niki

Sure. I'm the Chief Operating Officer at Arc Health, and I'm in charge of our day-to-day operations. We do recruiting for both short-term and long-term medical needs in underserved areas.

Interviewer

You've been in the healthcare space for almost a decade. What are some typical challenges for hiring in healthcare?

Niki

There are fewer doctors, nurses, and nurse practitioners available. Because we focus on underserved, rural, or tribal areas, it takes a "special kind of person" willing to make a big personal commitment to those communities. It's about finding people who care for the right reasons.

Interviewer

You've used platforms like LinkedIn or Indeed in the past. What didn't work there, and how is EasySource different?

Niki

The number of providers interested in our specific work is small—maybe 3%. We either need to reach out to huge numbers affordably or filter for very specific needs. LinkedIn and Indeed were either cost-prohibitive for large-scale outreach or lacked medical-specific filters. With EasySource, we can do both: reach a huge database or use technology to filter for specific licenses and areas.

Interviewer

It's your second year using the platform. How has your experience been with the team?

Niki

It's been great. The team focuses on adoption to ensure we actually see the benefits, and they collaborate with us to create custom solutions based on our specific company needs.

Interviewer

You suggested integrating more public databases for healthcare when you met with our CEO, SM, last December. Tell us more about that.

Niki

He is very engaged and understood our need to find "cultural fit" and "cultural sensitivity" in candidates—things you don't typically see on a resume or LinkedIn. We discussed linking social data to glean if someone is empathetic or thoughtful. He quickly modeled a solution and had us test a beta version.

Interviewer

How are you thinking about using AI in healthcare leadership?

Niki

I see AI as a tool for efficiency. For example, it can help write different versions of a job story to see what resonates with a candidate. However, we still rely on people to make it personal and pick up on subtleties. You have to think carefully about where to employ AI and where people are the better solution.

Interviewer

Those were all my questions. Thank you for sharing your insights.

Niki

The team provides a real partnership to solve problems, and that is what it takes to stay ahead.
