Job Summary: 

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Manager with experience in automation or robotics to join our team at Schuman Cheese, a leading Dairy/Food/Snack Packaging Plant. Located in Fall Creek, WI, close to Eau Claire, WI, our plant utilizes advanced automation and robotics for high-speed packaging operations. The ideal candidate will have a background in food or dairy manufacturing and be well-versed in managing maintenance teams and continuous improvement initiatives.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) in an engineering-related field.
  • 5+ years of experience as a Maintenance Manager, responsible for overseeing maintenance teams and operations.
  • Previous experience working with automation, robotics, or similar technology in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong background in food, dairy, beverage, pharmaceutical, or related CPG manufacturing industries.
  • Knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies and a commitment to safety.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the maintenance team, ensuring smooth operations and adherence to safety protocols.
  • Oversee the maintenance of high-speed automated packaging equipment and robotics systems.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to implement improvements and optimize production processes.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and reduce downtime.
  • Coordinate with production and quality departments to maintain product quality and consistency.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and company policies.
  • Proactively identify and resolve maintenance issues to minimize disruptions in production.

Salary Range: 

Competitive base salary up to $110,000 (with no flexibility above $110,000) plus bonus.

  • Additional engineering background or experience is a plus.
  • Knowledge of Dairy/Food/Snack Packaging Plant operations is preferred but not required.
  • Proven ability to implement best practices in maintenance and automation.
